Luxury Transportation Options for the Pan Am Games: Limo Service in the GTA
The biggest event to hit the GTA this summer is upon us. The Pan Am Games are only a week away. Running from July 10-26th (some events start as early as July 7th), with events being held across the Greater Toronto Area, it’s sure to be an exciting time. It’s also going to be a busy one. Most people forget that the Parapan Games also run from August 7th – 15th.
While the Pan Am Games is a great event, one of the most talked about issues is getting a lot of attention: Traffic congestion!
Officials expect there to be at least a 20% increase in the amount of traffic in the area as more than 250,000 visitors are expected during July and August.
Starting June 29, a 235-kilometre system of HOV lanes will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. But, don’t try to sneak in the HOV lane to beat the traffic. “From June 29 to July 27, only authorized vehicles and those carrying three or more passengers may drive in the lanes, or risk a $110 fine and three demerit points.
